Ron Hull Demolition Ltd were appointed as Principal Contractor following an intense tender period with Wakefield Local Authority.
Scope of Works
The project was split into 5 phases;
Phase 1 – Asbestos Removal
Undertaken by a Specialist framework partner.
Phase 2 – Soft Strip
Throughout the Leisure Centre, stockpiling for removal into relevant skips.
Phase 3 – Decommissioning
Samples were taken from tanks on site and tested. Fluids were then removed inhouse by our Decontamination team, prior to the tank Demolition.
Phase 4 – Demolition
The 4 storey, concrete framed building was demolished using remote techniques with various excavators.
Phase 5 – Crushing
Crushing was then undertaken onsite, producing aggregate to 6F2.
