By maximising the recycling opportunities on site, utilising the benefits of the company's Waste Management Facility at our Rotherham depot, Ron Hull Demolition were able to offer the Client a cash return for the building that our competitors couldn't match.
Steel and non-ferrous items were carefully removed and processed on site. Ron Hull Group bulk containers were used to transport the scrap metal to their multi-million pound Recycling Centre in Rotherham, cutting out the 'middle man'.
As the works progressed approximately 800 tons of stone was salvaged, cleaned, packaged and sold onto the Company reclamation contractor for reuse in other construction projects countrywide. This was also factored into the original quotation.
The works were carried out with Ron Hull taking the role of Principal Contractor. Following extensive asbestos removal and a controlled strip out the structural demolition operations were undertaken by our Volvo 700 demolition excavator with shear attachment. All demolition operations were down to floor slab level only, followed by the processing of all arisings on site through the Company's fully licensed mobile crushing unit.
The basement sides were battered on completion to prevent fall risks, before handing the site back over to a delighted Client.
