St Judes Rugby Club Wigan Feb 2024 – Community Support £250 Gift Clean up of the Clubs outdoor assault course
.
Ron Hull Demolition Ltd were contracted by Wigan Council to undertake demolition of the Worsley Mesnes Community Center, and residential properties, work commenced in January 2024.
Supporting our pledge for Social Value and community wealth, through consultation with the Council, we reached out to St Jude’s Rugby Club and offered volunteering hours and a cash donation towards purchasing equipment.
Wigan St Judes was formed in 1981, it began with 20 children and today boasts over 300 members.
Supporting the members and the local community, St Judes feature 4 pitches, a clubhouse, GYM, assault course and an all all weather pitch.
Through discussions with Joesph Fitzsimmons Secretary of St Judes, it was agreed Ron Hull Demolition would offer a team of staff to get hands on cleaning up the Assault Course for the Club.
On a cold damp day in February, our amazing team volunteers arrived at the Club, and set about the task of clean up.
We finished the clean-up restoring the neglected assault course back to its former glory, many thanks to our amazing Team of helpers.
Ron Hull Demolition gave a gift of £250 to the Club, towards the purchasing of new equipment. Our Contracts Manager Mick Dennington attended the club on our behalf to present our donation to the Secretary Joesph Fitzsimmons.
Our Managing Director quotes “it has been a pleasure to support St Judes Rugby Club, as part of our social value pledge, and we would like to wish the Club the very best for the future”
